



EUROPEAN CITIZENS
As a national of the European Economic Area or a Swiss national you have a right to live and work in the UK if;
· You are working here (and have registered or obtained permission if this is required) · You can support yourself and your family in the UK without becoming an unreasonable burden on public funds
EEA Family Permit
You can come to the UK as a family member of a EEA or Swiss national exercising their EEA rights even if you yourself are not an EEA or Swiss national.
An EEA Family Permit or Residence Card confirms your right of residence in the UK under European Law.
The Residence Card will normally be valid for 5 years.

Family Members Residence Stamp
As the family member of a national of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia or Slovenia you are unable to apply for a Residence Card until your family member has been in continuous employment in the UK for 12 months.
However you are able to apply for a family member’s residence stamp to confirm your right of residence under European Law.
Working in the UK
National’s of the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia or Slovenia who want to work for one month or more for a United Kingdom employer must register under the Workers Registration Scheme.
