UK ANCESTRY

This Visa allows Commonwealth Citizens to migrate to the UK with permission to live and work on the basis of Ancestral ties to the UK.

Eligibility Criteria

· You have a Grandparent who was born in the UK (including the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands), or a Grandparent born before 31st March 1922 in what is now the Republic of Ireland

 · You are 17 years of age or over

· You are a Commonwealth Citizen

· You can accommodate and maintain yourself and your Dependants without recourse to public funds.

· You are able to work and to seek employment or self employment in the UK

Depending on the type of visa you are applying for there may be other specific requirements.

Benefits

· You will be given a 5 year visa after which you can apply for permanent resident status.

· There will be no restriction on the type of employment you undertake and you will have complete and free access to the employment market.
