



UK TIER 4 STUDENT VISAS – TIER 4 ADULT STUDENT – TIER 4 CHILD STUDENT
Again, this is under the points based system and an applicant will require 40 points to be successful for an adult student visa. The educational establishment must be on the Sponsors List and take responsibility as host for all overseas students. All students accepted by UK Sponsor will be issued with a CAS or Visa letter entitling them to 30 points but the student must satisfy the Education Provider that he is a genuine student both academically and financially in order to qualify for the CAS or Visa Letter. All academic and financial documents will be verified and authenticated by UKBA staff at country posts before awarding 10 points to reach the total of 40 points required.
UK Tier 4 Adult Student VisaStudents age 16 or 17 years should apply for a General Student or Child Student Visa dependant upon the course level. The educational provider should advise a student on the applicable sub-category where the course is considered to be NQF Level 3 or above. Those studying for an English Language Course at CEFR Level A 2 or over must apply as a General Student.
Tier 4 Student (Child) Visas to the UKThis visa is for children between 4 and 17 years of age intending to study at a UK Educational Establishment on a full time course and allows students to study courses of at least 6 months length.
