UK Tier 5 – Youth Mobility Scheme

This is made up of 5 sub-categories and the Youth Mobility Scheme and the sub categories comprise of: Temporary Workers – International Agreement; Temporary Workers – Charity Workers; Temporary Workers – Creative and Sporting; Temporary Workers – Religious Workers and Temporary Workers – Government Authorised exchange.

UK Tier 5 Creative and Sporting

This is designed for people in the creative and sporting sector entering the UK for short term engagements. Sports persons must be internationally recognised at the highest level in their sport and/or employment, will make a significant contribution to the development and operation of sport in the UK. A coach must be suitably qualified to fulfil the role in question.

UK Tier 5 – Government Authorised Exchange

This is designed for people wanting to come to the UK through an approved scheme with the aim of exchanging knowledge, experience and best practice through work placements whilst experiencing the wider social and cultural setting of the UK. This category cannot be used to fill job vacancies or to bring unskilled labour to the UK.

Tier 5 – Temporary Workers – International Agreement

This category is designed for persons coming to the UK to provide a service in the UK on a contractual 

 agreement covered under International Law, including the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) or other international agreement, employees of overseas governments and international organisations, private servants in diplomatic households, etc.

Tier 5 – Religious Worker Scheme

For those who want to come to the UK to undertake temporary religious work. Unlike the Minister of Religion work permit, the religious work in the UK should be temporary and undertaken during a holiday or break from work in another country.

Tier 5 – Charity Worker – Temporary Worker

For those who wish to undertake voluntary unpaid work in line with the aims of a UK Sponsor. No paid work may be undertaken whilst in the UK as a Charity Worker and the applicant should intend to perform fieldwork directly related to the purpose of the sponsoring organisation.
